I am quite sure that majority of our readers are technologically savvy in the first place, otherwise you would not be checking out this site, would you? Having said that, most folks in the US would have upgraded their TV to a flat screen display that is slim, in order to comply with digital signals some years back, meaning chunky CRTs are not longer in vogue. As for folks living in Europe, it really depends on your budget as well as the necessity of getting a large, flat screen TV in your living room. Philips thinks that it would not make much sense to jump over to Ultra HD resolution TVs like most of the other major TV manufacturers have done, but will instead continue to concentrate on a Full HD display that emphasizes lots on the external aesthetics without compromising on internal quality, which is where the Philips DesignLine range of TVs were born.

apple i phone 6
With the Retina display likely to appear onthe iPhone 5S it would appear as though Apple may shift to a larger iPhone screen for the 6 with reports suggesting the company will finally try and compete with the screen of smartphones like the upcoming HTC J Butterfly.
Reports are flying around that Apple could be looking to implement a 4.8-inch Retina+ IGZO screen made by Sharp which will make the iPhone display thinner, brighter and much clearer boasting better than HD resolutions.
According to those inside the manufacturing industry Sharp is working on making its super HD display iPhone-ready however because the technology is so advanced it’s unlikely to appear on the iPhone 5S with Apple saving the bleeding-edge tech for the likes of the iPhone 6 and possibly even the iPad Mini 2.
Apple iPhone 6 features
Update: A new report has suggested that the next iPhone could come in a range of colours and in a range of screen sizes in an effort to compete more effectively with the large range of screen sizes that Android can offer.
Analyst Brian White believes that Apple will add a third screen size to the current line-up found on the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 offering a screen size that would rival the likes of Samsung's Galaxy S3 smartphone.
With the iPhone 5 featuring the super-fast and super-efficient A6 processor it’s believed that the iPhone 6 will come with the new A7 chip which would be limited to the next-generation iPad and the 6.
The source that suggested this also believes Apple will be looking to launch the iPhone 5S quicker than usual in order to give them enough of a window for the iPhone 6 to be a significant update on the previous model.
A new feature that could well appear on the 6th generation iPhone is the use of sonar as a replacement to the current infared sensors which use sound as a proximity sensor letting the phone detect where it is, either as a way of alerting the user about an incoming object, or as a way of detecting whether the phone is being held to the users ear.

I POTY !!!
ipotty the name says it all..
Parents everywhere are turning to their iPad to assist in educating and entertaining children. Thousands of quality learning apps exist to help everything from speaking to writing. Games help little ones kill time – and improve skills in some cases. And of course the iPad mobility with movies and TV shows becomes a life saver in some situations…a babysitter as some would say. But one parental duty floating under the radar has plenty of apps (22 on the US app store) to assist. Is it reading? Nope. Math? Nope. POTTY TRAINING! Yes, apps give parents help in the quest to get “pee-pee in the potty.” And now a creative piece of ‘hardware’ looks to help complete the learning process.
This colorful contraption provides the perfect size potty for those being trained. Take off the top, insert the front ‘shield’ if needed, pop in your iPad – which remains out of the range of fire and has a plastic cover to ensure dryness. Hopefully the kid will stay on the iPotty long enough to get engaged in the app you choose and take care of business. Easily remove the stand if you choose to train without the pad. The iPotty, on display at CES, comes to us from CTA Digital, makers of a variety of gaming and multimedia accessories for tablets, phones and the like. And they are familiar with what kids use as they offer plenty of gadgets to help children enjoy technology. So why not! Let the iPad help with one other task in the quest to raise children.

A Facebook phone
Facebook has circulated a rather mysterious invite amongst the media fraternity asking all to join the social network at its headquarters in Menlo Park, CA on Tuesday January 15 at 10 a.m. PT.
The invite that comes amidst the on-going CES event, has suddenly attracted attention due to the curiosity element leaving little to guess. It just reads, "Come and see what we're building."
Considering that the social networking giant doesn't host many events at its headquarters, this ought to be something big.
Could it be the new Facebook phone, rumours of which surfaced recently? In a set of HTC device codename leaks, the list mentioned the Opera_UL more commonly recognised as the Facebook Phone. Talks of this phone have been around since November 2011, though HTC and Facebook have collaborated earlier and launched the ChaCha and Salsa phones with a dedicated Facebook button and deep integration of the social network.
Moreover social networking giant has hired more than half a dozen Apple engineers who worked on the iPhone and iPad to build a Facebook smartphone. Then Bloomberg reported that the phone will debut in mid-2013. In that case, an announcement now would make sense.
So, if it is the Facebook phone, then we'd say it was already playing on our mind. Last time Facebook hosted such an event at its Palo Alto headquarters in California about a year and a half ago, where Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had announced the company's partnership with Skype
